ELAINE CLARK

Understanding the patterns that keep us stuck — and what helps us change.

The patterns we repeat are rarely random.

The ways we think, feel, respond, and relate are shaped by what we’ve lived through, what we’ve learned to protect, and what our minds and bodies have come to expect.

We can understand where a pattern comes from and still overthink, shut down, over-function, avoid, people-please, brace for the worst, or find ourselves repeating the same dynamics.

Understanding the pattern matters. But understanding alone doesn’t always change it.

Patterns can live in our thoughts and beliefs, in the ways our bodies respond, and in what happens between us in relationships.

My work explores what helps those patterns begin to shift.

ABOUT ELAINE

Elaine Clark is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), educator, movement teacher, and host of the Unravel podcast.

Drawing on psychology, somatic approaches, and more than 15 years of teaching movement and mindfulness, her work sits at the intersection of the mind, the body, and relationships.

She examines how the patterns we develop to adapt, protect ourselves, and stay connected can continue shaping our lives long after we understand where they came from.

Through therapy, education, and conversation, Elaine makes complex psychological ideas accessible and actionable for meaningful, sustainable change.
